A.S.A. SURFING INSTRUCTOR, LEVEL 1

SURFING INSTRUCTOR, LEVEL 1 - 

For those of you interested in becoming a surfing instructor, this is where you begin!

All course graduates are guaranteed to be added to the T-Bay Surf & Eco Centre, Surf Instructor Rotation Roster.  This means,  you can get paid for your water time! 

Cost: TBC

Requirements:

- Must have Beach Life Gaurd Qualification prior to  starting the Surf Instructor Level 1 coursework.

- Must be able to catch a wave, and also have the ability to execute both a left turn and right turn while riding a wave.

- Must be over 18 years of age. 

*Next RLSS Beach lifegaurd course at T-Bay Surf & Eco will be held in February 2007.

T-Bay Surf Club membership follows a long and proud tradition of surfers from this region, dating back to when this club was formed in 1967.

Membership not only gives you access to the T-Bay Surf & Eco Centre's facilities, but makes you privy to club events held throughout the year.  T-Bay Surf Club welcomes all people to join us, providing you respect the centre (keep it clean), and respect your fellow members in the line-up as well!

Eco Hike/ Rock Pools or Sand Dune/Intertidal Lagoon

Discover one of Europe's Largest Intertidal Lagoons, as well as Venture into the wonderful world of the "Dunes". 

Or for a completely different experience, try venturing the opposite way down the beach for a fascinating view into our Rocky Shoreline's tidal pools.

Each of our two unique Eco Hikes are guided by one of our on-staff Ecologists.  Our staff Ecologists are passionate about Tramore's unique oceanic Eco-System and excited about sharing their knowledge of this fragile environment with you.

Each Hike begins in the Centre's upstairs meeting room for an Eco Talk that prepares you for what you are about to experience, as well as general discussion regarding safety, and group behavior regarding care of the environment while out on your walk. 

We look forward to sharing the ECO HIKE experience with you, so sign up today.  Groups are limited to a maximum of 20 adults (to insure an in-depth experience).  School Groups will allow Maximum of 30 children per group (To accomodate school needs; Call for school rates)

T-Bay Surf Club was established in 1967, and is one of the oldest surf clubs in Ireland, with a proud tradition and history.  Your Membership at Tramore Bay Surf Centre offers Surf Board storage, hot showers, underfloor heated changing rooms, lockers, a panoramic clubroom, as well as participation in club events  & activities. Club members are welcome to use all of these facilities during Centre hours of operation. Normal hours of operation are: Mon-Sun 10am-5pm. (evening hours extended for increased daylight and or course, GOOD SURF!).  T-Bay Surf Club benefits also include membership in the Irish Surfing Association (with 3^rd party insurance provided).  T-Bay Club members even enjoy 10% off Wetsuits and Accessories, and 5% off new surf boards purchased at Tramore Surf Shop!
