GM to Add Dealerships in Coastal Cities

General Motors might assign additional dealers in big city areas along the coasts (such as LA and San Francisco) in preparation for expected sales growth.

Mark Reuss, President of the North American branch, explained that GM had been losing dealers on the coasts as a result of decreasing business and poor products. Just two years ago GM was forced to let go of over 2,000 dealerships throughout the U.S.

Now, however, Reuss and GM believe that models like the Chevrolet Cruze, which is selling well in California as well as numerous other coastal states, will help boost sales in these areas.
