LIFEGUARDS IRELAND is a registered training unit with
the world's leading lifesaving/lifeguard charitable
organisation lifesavers RLSS and forms part of the
world wife family of RLSS Registered through its Irish
link, RLSS IRELAND. We adhere to the Syllabi, Policy
Statements and Codes of Practice set out by lifesavers
RLSS.
The
National Beach Lifeguard Qualification and the National
Pool Lifeguard Qualification are awarded by the Institute
of Qualified Lifeguards (IQL), and are nationally
and internationally recognised as the essential standards
of competence. Each acts as a passport to employment
with swimming pool managers, local authorities, outdoor
centres and holiday companies both here in Ireland
and throughout the world.
The IQL which administers around 30,000 lifeguarding
qualifications each year world-wide was formed in
1992 and is the awarding body responsible for maintaining
and developing the highest standards in lifeguarding.
All courses are independently and externally assessed
and certified.
