Mark Burton Joins Board of Jaspersoft

San Francisco-based Jaspersoft Corp. has put Mark Burton on its board of directors. Burton was formerly the executive vice president of international sales and alliances at the database company MySQL. The company was acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2008.

Burton also worked on the board at Zend Technologies, MuleSoft and Infobright. He was a sales executive at Informatica Corp, and spent the beginning of his career working for OuterBay Technologies, Oracle, DEC and Unisys.

Jaspersoft is run by CEO Brian Gentile. In the past, he worked for Informatica Corp and Sun Microsystems as well. Gentile and Burton sit on the bpard alongside Philippe Cases of Partech International, Gen Isayama from DCM, Gary Little of Morgenthaler Ventures, Kate Mitchell of Scale Venture Partners, Ed Saliba (also from Sun) and David Welsh of Adams Street Partners.
