SFSU’s CIO Development Program 2010

CIO Synergy San FranciscoOver the past few days, the San Francisco State University’s CIO Development Program took place at the university’s campus in downtown San Francisco. This event puts forth a curriculum taught by current and former CIOs of the Bay area. The program presents real-world models that include tools currently used by CIO executives, as well as case studies that will open the participants to new perspectives and ideas.

CIOs from numerous leading companies of Silicon Valley took part in the panels.  The CIO of VMware Mark Egan was one of the important speakers featured there. Nagarro Inc., a high-end software development firm, sponsored and partook in the event. Vishal Gauri, President of Nagarro, participated in a discussion called ‘IT Strategy and Planning’, which put an emphasis on the best practices, and described how to proceed with strategies and put them into action. Doug Harr, the former CIO of Ingres Corp., George Lin, former CIO of Dolby Laboratories, Arnold Testa, former CIO of EPRI and Tony Young, CIO of Informatica, took part in the panel as well.
