Sprint’s New 4G Service to Be Launched in San Francisco

Sprint and Clearwire have publicized the upcoming release of their new high-speed 4G service in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Miami, Ohio, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and, on December 28th, in San Francisco.

The 4G service enables users to browse the web ten times faster than with a 3G service. This launch brings the number of Sprint 4G markets to 68. Sprint also has a number of devices that include WiMAX, such as the Dell Mini 10, Inspiron 11z, and the Epic 4G and Evo 4G smartphones. The average speeds are between 3-6Mbps downstream, although they sometimes reach up to 10Mbps.
